Content outline:
Ø  ‘A Mother’s Day Gift’ depicts about the emotional feelings of a child apsare. She has shifted to the new school. Apsara feels hesitated to introsuce her mother to attend the tea party. Because her mother’s face and neck was affected badly in the fire accident.
Ø  Later she came to know about her mother’s love and compassion towards her. Then she realized that beauty lies in the heart not in the appearance.
Ø  Grasps the new words like evasive, twinge, flinch etc.
Ø  Moral of the story:
Ø  MOTHERS LOVE CANNOT BE REPLACELE
Ø  BEAUTY LIES IN THE EYES OF THE BEHOLDER.

1.Introduction:
   ‘A Mother’s Day Gift’ tells about a girl. Apsara who hesitated her mother to attend the tea party in her school. She not wants her mother to be insulted in front of others. Because her mother has a scars in her skin. Later, she realizes her mother’s scarifies.
2.Explanation:
“ A Mothers Day Gift” is a emotional story. Apsara is a emotional story. She has a new friend called selvi. she loves her mother a lot. But she hesitates her mother to introduce in the tea party in her school. Apsara’s mother met with a fire accident when she was a child. So, her mother has a scars in her face and neck. She not wants others to call her mother as a monsters.
   Later she knows her mother’s love scarifies for her. She realizes the inner beauty of her mother.
3.Questioning:
Why Apsara hestitate’s to introduce her mother?
State the central characters in the story?
Identify the central theme of the story?
What is the name of Apsara’s friend?
4.varying the stimulus:
 There can be variation of teachers position in the classroom while teaching. There can be also variation in voice pattern. Interaction takes place between the student and the teacher.
5.Non-verbal cues:
Positive non-verbal cues which includes smiling ,nodding of the head , a delighted laugh , patting on the shoulder , asks the students to clap etc., can be used for explaining the story.
6.Reinforcement:
Positive verbal reinforcement like saying good, very good,excellent,right,yes,correct,fine., etc can be used in the classroom for the desirable behavior of the students.

The topic will be summed up by repeating the central theme of the story ‘A Mothers Day Gift’.

1.Motivation:
 The teacher motivates the students by asking about their mother’s ? how much the students loves their mothers etc.
